The Best Ryokan/Hotel

The 10 BEST Onsen Hotels/Ryokans in Ikaho, Japan

Ikaho Onsen is one of Gunma’s representative hot spring resorts. Famous as a therapeutic hot spring, Ikaho has a long history and has been crowded with many hot spring guests.

There are two kinds of hot springs in Ikaho: “Kogane-no-yu” (golden water) and “Shirogane-no-yu” (silver water). Kogane-no-yu is called kogane-no-yu because the iron in the water oxidizes and turns a distinctive brownish-brown color.
